All hounds are available to our local homes. If you're with one of our fellow Adoption Partnership Program Groups and are interested in one of our available hounds, please contact us at AGRACStaff@gmail.com. More information about our Adoption Group Partnership Program can be read it's page.
We do have several more hounds available than what is listed here. Please feel free to contact us with the type of hound you're looking for.
Are you looking for a playmate? Someone to motivate you to start jogging, like you've always said you were going to? Someone to keep your kids busy in the yard, or even just a smiling face and all-around happy buddy to accompany you on all of life's adventures? Then Cinch, the outgoing and friendly dog who never stops smiling, is exactly the guy you're looking for! Cinch is on the smaller side for a male, a compact and muscular boy with a gorgeous and sleek black coat. His amber eyes are very striking against the dark fur, too. Cinch is a real looker! Personality-wise, this guy can be described in one word: upbeat! Nothing gets Cinch down, and just look at that grin. He is a little on the high-energy side for a greyhound, and gets very rambunctious when he decides that it's playtime. So in spite of his smaller size, he'd probably only be a good fit for families with older children, or none at all. He jumps up for hugs and has a habit of trying to hip-check you during his zoomies, and could easily knock a toddler flat! Despite what you might think for a higher-energy dog, Cinch is totally safe with small pets, including cats. He may play a little rough for some very small dogs, but does not try to chase them, so if you have a sturdy, spunky little terrier or something similar he'd likely be perfectly fine. So go on and give us a call if this sweet little dude sounds like the playmate you've always dreamed of having. He's a fantastic and really fun hound, and after you meet him you might just walk out of here with a new best friend, and a smile to match his!
Now here's a dude that has it all- everyone, meet Peachy! Peachy is one happy dog! He has a great attitude about life, and is always ready to see new things, or meet new friends (and trust me, they WILL be his friends!). You could say he thinks everything is just, well, peachy-keen! Always good to go for a walk or a run in the park, Peachy is a cuddler too, and just as happy to curl up on your couch with you. He loves to be petted and handled, and is a trusting kind of boy. He's curious and ready for adventure, and has quite the silly streak, so be prepared to be entertained! Although he is playful, Peachy is not super high-energy, and predictably for the breed has bursts of "zoomies" and is then content to sleep for the rest of the day. Since he is confident and playful, this handsome fellow would probably be a great fit for just about any family, even one with children. He did not test as safe with cats, but may be workable with the right small dog-- he does show interest, but is easily corrected. He'd be great as a play partner for another large dog, however! If you're looking for a well-rounded family dog, Peachy may be a good fit for you. He's telling us that he's ready to find his family, so come by and meet him today!
Where are the rest of the hounds? The AGRAC works with several other Greyhound adoption groups across the US and Canada. Many times, it is very difficult for us to keep up with photos of our adoptable hounds. Rest assured, we on average have over 80 Greyhounds looking for a new home! PLEASE contact us regarding your new 45mph Couch Potato!
